Project Background
The folks at Billagbongweb gave us a call looking for a suitable cms to drive their client's dream business online. The team at Candy & Bloom had a strong idea of what they wanted the site to do but didn't know how to make it come about.
Project Solution
Before we could begin development on the site's Rickshaw cms for C&B, we saw a number of opportunities to streamline C&B's business process to make the site more informative and reduce the amount of administration time required to maintain their products and services.
We drew up a counter-design for the site outlining the benefits of our alternatives and what it meant to them on a daily basis as well as the amount of information their clients would be getting about the services.
The site required one of the longest development periods we've ever dealt with. This was primarily due to changes in scope for the project and delays in getting the details right for the client. They were very much hands on when they could but sometimes this would only happen when they had the time to do so. The result was a very detailed and granualr installation of Rickshaw with an extremely high focus on customer accessibility.
Service/Product highlights
One of the things we love about this site apart from the slick visuals in the header is the functionality enabled for the site's administrator. The services and wedding components can be combined into a package deal and have a dollar value or percentage discount applied. This means packages can be pre-configured and clients can simply select the appropriate package for a great deal. Additionally clients can purchase gift certificates of any monetary value or apply generic or one off discount codes all nominated by the administrator via the CMS.
The power and sophistication in this system makes for a rich administrative experience indeed.
